These flint tools were used for working hard animal materials like bones, antlers or ivory. A narrow and strong bevel at the tip of the tool was the active part used to cut the material. Homo sapiens expands with new objects made of bones, like harpoons in reindeer antlers, eyed needles and ornaments.
