This beaker’s bell shape lies at the origin of the name of the culture of which it is part: Campaniform (campana = bell), or the Bell-Beaker culture. The incised-stamped décor is characteristic of this Late Neolithic culture and contrasts with impressed decors from the Early Neolithic.
