Texte (from field presentation):
Carving is the intentional fracturing of a block using a “hammer” made of stone, called the striker. The cutting phase consists in detaching flakes from the block, creating the core. The sharpening phase consists in transforming the block or flake into a tool. The marks of the impact, which are negatives of the flakes that have been removed and the traces of the shock wave on the matter, bear the characteristic relief found on all stones carved by Humans.
