This tomb was found at the very top of a rocky spur, a naturally defensive site, inhabited from the Neolithic period to Antiquity.
During prehistoric occupation, a young adult was buried wrapped in a cloth or leather shroud, along with offerings like pottery, a lip ornament made of smoothed bone, also called labret and a dagger blade made of copper.
The pit was decorated with stones and sealed with a wooden floor covered by a burial mound. This cover collapsed and the funeral room was filled with debris including the deer antler.
This individual sepulchre is different to large collective burial chambers like dolmens or hypogea which represent the dominating funeral method at the end of the Neolithic period.
